Do you see any of these symptoms in your child? Diagnosis and treatment are usually the next options for people.  If left undiagnosed and not treated correctly, sleep apnea it can result in behavioral issues, cardiopulmonary disease, attention deficit disorder, bedwetting (enuresis), and poor performance at school.

Some common causes for sleep apnea in children are adenotonsillar hypertrophy, craniofacial abnormalities, obesity, neuromuscular diseases.  Adenotonsillar hypertrophy is often treated by the removal of tonsils.  This usually helps take care of sleep apnea for children with this condition.  CPAP machine use and losing weight are also some treatment options to treat the sleep condition.  Professional diagnosis and treatment is usually the next step for most people.
